Gamletunet

Maximum four guests

Gamletunet is the newest farmhouse at Juv. The house is placed high up and spaciously on historical ground like an “eagle´s nest” and is placed on beautiful solid “stone feet” with an invitation to sit under the house and enjoy the panoramic view even if it rains.

Colour and linseed oil paint artist Kjell Arne Aarseth has created the colour palette for this house and for its twin house in Juvsøyna. The furniture is “adopted” from the famous furniture designer Knag from Bergen.
“The golden mirror” in the house fell from the wall when a ship exploded in the harbour in Bergen under the Second World War. The inventory of the house came with the furniture and should be treated with respect, delight, and amazement.

Juvsøyna

Maximum four guests

Juvsøyna is the former homestead on the farm. The original foundations are still found nearby.

The viewpoint house (Utsiktshuset) in Juvsøyna is a more than 100-year-old spacious schoolhouse with tall ceilings. The heavy log construction was recently moved from Indre Hornindal and rebuilt on the farm. Inside the house is painted with traditional linseed oil paints and decorated with furniture inherited from the family as well as other reused furniture acquired from elsewhere.

The house it situated on the edge of Juvsneset – close to the beautiful fjord this panoramic setting offers both the opportunity to take a refreshing morning bath and to observe a lovely sunset at the end of the day. Maybe the porpoises will come by and say hello too.

This place provides peace of mind and “hygge”; the chance to spend quality time with your loved ones.

Gamlestova

Maximum four guests

Gamlestova was the original farmhouse in the main farmyard at Juv and is a historical, airy, and traditionally constructed building (sperrestue) which today has a roof window and a large kitchen called “kove”.

From the four-poster bed in the livingroom you can wake up to see the sunrise, and if you are lucky, you can follow a tourist boat on its way to Olden with your eyes.

In the evening you can fall asleep in the light of the flames and to the sounds from the fireplace.

Stabburet

Maximum four guests

This holiday house is furnished in a typical Western Norwegian charming peasant style house (stabbur) with a ramantic four-poster bed. Here you can enjoy your breakfast on the balcony in the morning sun listening to the sounds of birds twittering and the pleasant river music from Juvselva.

Stabburet was originally built as a storage house for food on the farm such as dried meat and bacon, herring, flatbread and for storing clothes. Stabbur is a Norwegian term used to describe a house raised from the ground by pillars built for storage purposes. The furniture is produced locally and tailormade to fit the house using local traditional building techniques.

In this warm and cozy living room, you can enjoy quality time with your loved ones in front of the fireplace.
